Zim’s Safety Services Ltd. is locally owned and operated by Les and Fred Zimmer. Fred and his family moved to Brooks in 1974, he was employed at Lakeside Packers for 17 years in the Health and Safety department. In 1995 Les and Fred, saw a need in the Brooks area for Safety Training which was becoming mandatory in the work place. So they started Zim’s Safety Services Ltd. which has been operating for 11 years. Zim's Safety runs a schedule of classes for the Oil and Gas Industry, Food and Manufacturing Industries as well as the general public.

Les has Graduated from the University of Alberta with the Occupational Health and Safety Diploma and gone on to receive his CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional). Fred has his CSO (Construction Safety Officer).
